SeedGrowers Squad News

Coggeshall Town are pleased to announce a number of new signings for the new season.The new players will join the whole of last seasons squad who have been retained all bar Aaron Cosgrave who has left to sign a 2 year contract with Havant and Waterlooville who were promoted to the National League last season.

Everyone at the club would like to wish Aaron good luck with a well deserved move, we will all be watching closely to see if his development continues at the higher level.

The management team and supporters would like to welcome Kieran Bishop, Aaron Condon, Tevan Allen, Josh Pollard, Nathan Fox, Kane Dobrowolski, Kevin Coyle, Lewis Soraf and George Smith to the club for what we hope will be another successful season at West Street.

Aaron Condon has moved to West Street following a two year spell with Brightlingsea Regent of the Bostik Premier. Condon is an attacking wide-man, with a hammer of a left foot. In the 2016/17 season, Aaron scored over thirty goals to ensure that Brightlingsea Regent were crowned Isthmian North champions. Prior to joining Regent, “Azza” applied his trade for FC Clacton.

Joshua Pollard, a tough tackling central defender has signed for Coggeshall Town following his release from Colchester United. During the 2017/18 season, Josh enjoyed loan spells at Maldon & Tiptree and Harlow Town, playing a combined total of over twenty five games. Pollard signed for Colchester as an under 15, having spent his early academy years at Ipswich Town, he signed his first professional contract with Colchester in the summer of 2017.

Next up is Tevan Allen who is a versatile midfielder, but he can also feature as a defender, he has previously turned out for Bury Town and AFC Sudbury. Last season, Allen featured thirty seven times for Bury Town in the Bostik North, scoring four goals in the process. Historically, Tevan has featured for the Suffolk FA at both Under 16 and Under 18 levels. His box-to-box energy and previous Isthmian League experience will be vital for the #SeedGrowers throughout the 2018/19 season.

Kieran Bishop has also signed from a fellow Bostik North side in Grays Athletic. Kieran is an exciting attacker who signed for Grays from Hemel Hempstead in November 2016. Kieran has previously featured for Harlow Town, AFC Hornchurch, Redbridge and Ware, where he scored thirty six goals in only fifty six appearances. “Bish” featured heavily for Grays last season scoring twenty four goals in a highly competitive Bostik North division.

Nathan Fox joins the #SeedGrowers having previously been a professional at football league outfit, Brentford. Fox has recently had spells at Bostik North side Canvey Island and Margate. Prior to joining Brentford, Nathan had spent time at Norwich City within their academy set up before joining Cray Wanderers.

George Smith is an exciting, young, centre forward who joins the club from Heybridge Swifts. George was promoted to the Heybridge first team after a prolific spell as part of their development team.

Returning to West Street is Kane Dobrowolski, after a year away from the side. Kane was an instrumental figure in the #SeedGrowers being promoted out of the Essex Border League and will certainly excite our supporters as we head for our first season in the Bostik League.

Lewis Soraf is another addition to Graeme Smith’s side after being promoted from our Reserve team. Soraf has been promoted following an excellent 2017/18 season and the management team look forward to seeing how he will adapt and improve as part as our promotion in to the Bostik League.

Finally, but by no means least, Kevin Coyle has also been added to Coggeshall’s 2018/19 squad. Coyle joins the #SeedGrowers from Essex side, Clacton where he made over 400 appearances and notched over 100 hundred goals their all-time leading scorer. Coyle is a versatile addition who will provide vital and much needed experience in our first year as an Isthmian League side.

First Team Manager Graeme Smith spoke to the clubs website following the confirmation of his new signings and said;

“I am very pleased with the additions we have made, the new players will add depth and strength to an already very competitive squad. The squad now consists of pace, power, strength and goals throughout with a good mix of experience and youth.

As a newly promoted club on the back of 3 successive promotions and playing at this level for the first time in the clubs history, it goes without saying that the teams number one objective will be to maintain its Bostik League status.  With the squad we have now assembled I’m confident that can be achieved.”

Everyone at Coggeshall Town would like to welcome of our new additions to West Street and we look forward to seeing them in action, throughout our remaining pre-season fixtures and the 2018/19 season.
