The club would like to announce the appointment of Cliff Akurang as first team manager with immediate effect. Cliff has a wealth of knowledge having played both pro football and managing at non-League level for a number of years; his appointment will help drive the team forward in the coming season.

In his career Cliff has played for Chelsea, Luton town, Dagenham & Redbridge, Barnet, Rushden & Diamonds and Chelmsford City. He has also managed Heybridge Swifts, Bishop’s Stortford and Coached Maldon town.

From 2014 – 2018, Cliff was also influential in helping the Town to achieve three successive promotions in four years and has played a big part in developing young players for the club.
